So far in my reading, I don't think anyone is saying that inclusiveness and the learning of social know-how are not worthy goals, that would help bind our country together. They are just saying that self-worth is a family responsibility. Then if that is not happening for a growing number of students, some remediation might be necessary. But taking funding out of academics to fund remediation is counterproductive. Evaluate the risks of reconfiguring education to the lowest common denominator.

You can give everyone an "A" to make them feel good, or even do without any grading. But how can you create a school of distinction, without any distinctions? What is left is a second class nation. Government leaders caution that Asia is surpassing America on many levels. Is that an inevitability?

So we agree: "Everyone is beautiful in their own way, 🎵 Like a starry summer night or a snow covered winter's day."🎶

Community schools say that they are:

Caring for the whole child

Expanding the horizons of learning

Building relationships with families

Working together to realize a shared vision

They integrate student supports

They expand and enrich learning

They engage families with communities

They lead in collaboration, (group learning)

(sounds good)

So they hire a community school coordinator

Create a marketing plan to attract parents and students

Go to foundations, state and local government for grants

Partner with local businesses

And leaders can advocate for further funding to sustain it
